Healthy Brownie Batter Dip
Yields: Serving 2 cups
Ingredients:
- 1 15-ounce can of black beans, drained & rinsed
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup nut butter (see note)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup of maple syrup
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar (optional)
- Chocolate chips for garnish
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients, except the chocolate chips in a food processor. Blend until very smooth.
- Transfer into a dish, garnish with chocolate chips if desired, and serve with cut apples or graham crackers.
- Note: Almond butter and cashew butter work best for this recipe. If you don’t have either, you could soak ¼ cup of either nut overnight (rinsed and drained after) and substitute it for the nut butter.

Cheddar Broccoli Dip
Yields: Serving 2 cups
Bring creamy cheddar broccoli dip to the party for a guaranteed touchdown.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups broccoli florets
- 1 15.5 ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil or canola oil
- ½ - ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°. Steam the broccoli florets until tender and chop into small pieces.
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, salt, garlic powder, lemon juice, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer the chickpea mixture into a mixture and stir in the cheddar cheese and prepared broccoli until well combined, leaving out a few pieces of broccoli and a little cheese for garnish.
- Scoop the dip into an oven safe ramekin that holds at least 2 cups. Garnish with the remaining broccoli and cheese. Bake for 12 minutes or until the cheese is melted throughout.
- Serve with tortilla chips, carrot or celery sticks.
